Kelsey Jackson is Co-founder and COO at Swervia, the modern brand for RVers, and the person on the team who knows what happens when the pets come along. She grew up on a farm in Central Texas, riding and caring for horses with dogs and a river close at hand.

Her philosophy is simple: you shouldn't have to get away to get away. She believes nature isn't a luxury reserved for epic trips, and that the city park down the street or the river you've swum in a hundred times counts, too. She lives in Austin with her two kids, who still choose the farm and horses over screens without much convincing.

She has spent a lifetime around animals and outdoors, which gives her a useful perspective on the practical side of bringing both into everyday life. On Swervia she writes about traveling with pets, buying a first RV, getting kids outdoors, and cooking and living well in a small space.
